Our client based in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking dedicated and motivated Deputy Manager to join their Children's Home and you will have a background of working within a Childrens Home and ideally experience with OFSTED.

The client is a specialist and make pride themselves in operating a number of homes across the area most of which rated as Outstanding by OFSTED.
As the homes Deputy Manager in Stoke-on-Trent you will be a leader in your position and a mentor to staff and children alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people in care.
- Encourage and motivate young people to participate in activities and education.
- Lead and support staff teams in a residential childcare setting in the social care industry
- Manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.
- Full UK driving license with business insurance as you will be taking children to activities (mileage will be paid)
- Willingness to sleep in on a 2 on, 4 off rota.
- Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young Person's Workforce or equivalent.
- Experience with OFSTED Inspections.
- Knowledge of current legislation in the sector.
- Flexibility for shift work, including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Ability to deliver therapeutic care.
Desirable Attributes:
- 3 years of experience working in Children's residential homes, with 1 year post L3 qualification.
- Team Leader or Leadership & Management qualification.
- Experience working in a Childrens Home.
- Experience in a therapeutic setting and success in developing staff teams and individuals.
