Customer service representative

We are looking for a part time Customer service Person for a fantastic client in Yeovil

Ideally working from 9.30 to 3.30pm but we can be flexible on that.

Core strength data entry and accuracy,

Salary pro-rata 25k


Give a single purpose for the existence of this role

Customer service representatives help customers with complaints and questions, give customers information about products and services, take orders, and process returns. By helping customers understand the product and answering questions about their reservations, they are sometimes seen as having a role in sales

Customer Service

Monitoring sales inbox where necessary at agreed times of day

Process of orders via various media sources

Answering calls in a professional manner and dealing with all efficiently and redirecting to the correct areas

Communicating to customers regarding all queries including short deliveries, back orders etc

Liaising and supporting all departments to help resolve customer issues

Assist customers in placing their order

Provide Product Information to all customers

Follow correct procedures for all daily tasks

Prioritising orders based on the areas they are going or which transport they are going on e.g. Overseas customers, DPD orders

Working with other departments to resolve Customer Interactions recorded on the CRM system

Sales Support

Proactively calling existing customers to get them to place ordersProviding customers prices for their standard list rates using pricing

Taking verbal quotation requests from customers and forwarding to the relevant areas


What other tasks might the job holder be expected to do outside their normal working activities?

  • Account and Credit control admin tasks

  • Liaising with Sales helping with administration tasks

  • Office waste to be recycled where possible

  • Office equipment to be turned off at night and any other time that it is not required


  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good listener

  • Ability to Prioritise work load

  • Self-motivated

  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work as a team member and individually

  • Confident using the telephone and cold calling

Hours and Benefits

23 days holiday increases to 25 after three years

Salary circa 25k PRO RATA
