HRGO Education are in search of a qualified Computing & Creative Media Teacher that can inspire pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental health needs) to achieve their potential.

HRGO Education are recruiting for a progressive "Nurture school" based in Sevenoaks, Kent. They are seeking a dynamic and well-organised Computing & Creative Media Teacher to teach in the specialist therapy unit as well as some teaching in the main school. The suitable candidate will have an understanding of mental health difficulties in young people and have a calm and gentle approach. You must be flexible and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The position will start in September 2021.

The school was rated "Good" by Ofsted and are well resourced to support the additional needs of their young people. The school supports both their young people's learning and social development. The school is located near the surrounding areas of Tonbridge, Malling, Bromley and Dartford.

The Computing & Creative Media Teacher role:

Teaching and learning -

• Lead by example as a Computing & Creative Media teacher, achieving high standards of pupil attainment, behaviour and motivation through effective teaching and learning
• To be a positive role model and empathetic to pupil's individual SEMH needs, scaffolding learning objectives and behaviour management accordingly
• Working with learning support assistants and other members of the phase team to create a stimulating learning environment

What Computing & Creative Media Teachers will need:

• QTS and knowledge of KS3/4 National Curriculum
• Be able to teach Level 3 Creative media
• Be able to teach KS3 and KS4 Computing
• A desire to deliver new SEMH teaching strategies and skills to best support students
• Organised, reliable, friendly, hard-working and resilient with a good sense of humour
• You must have a driving licence and own transport
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress
