Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking manufacturing company based in the Templecombe/Sherborne area, is on the lookout for a Compliance & Regulatory Officer to join their team. Specialising in cutting-edge products, our client serves diverse markets globally and is committed to innovation and sustainability.

The Role:

As a Compliance & Regulatory Officer, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our client's operations comply with relevant standards and regulations. Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll play a pivotal role in advising on regulatory matters and implementing compliance strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

* Overseeing and ensuring compliance with diverse regulations, encompassing health and safety standards, environmental compliance and quality assurance.

* Shaping and performing effective compliance strategies to align with regulatory requirements.

* Engaging with all departments and teams to tackle compliance and quality-related challenges, promoting a safe working environment.

* Coordinating compliance training initiatives for employees to encourage a culture of adherence within the organisation.

* Managing the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory authorities.

* Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to compliance.

The Compliance & Regulatory Officer will ensure that our operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes but is not limited to:

  • CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)

  • EU Fertiliser Labelling Regulations

  • FIAS (Fertiliser regs in the UK)

  • Health & safety management, based around ISO 45001

  • Quality assurance based around ISO 9001

  • Environmental compliance around ISO 14001

  • REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals)

  • EPR (Extended Producer Regulations for Packaging)

Desired Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in a compliance-related role, preferably within a regulated industry.

Familiarity with quality management systems, health and safety standards and environmental regulations.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Ability to meet targets and deadlines while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Demonstrate effectively influencing outcomes and displaying tenacity in achieving objectives.

Willingness to welcome input from team members and dedication to continuous professional growth.

Benefits:

Competitive salary of 42K - 44K dependant on experience

Hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office, to be discussed

Office hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm and Flexible hours when working from home

Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

24 days of holiday plus bank holidays
