CNC Turner - setter operator, New opportunity for a CNC Turner to join this expanding subcontract precision engineering company. The role can suit someone with a solid basis in CNC turning who wants to learn and develop more as a machinist. The controls are fanuc and similar across the machines and you will have the opportunity to learn to set and operate sliding head machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering specifications and drawings - Set up and adjust machining parameters to ensure optimal performance and product quality - Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guarantee accurate production processes - Monitor machine performance, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues - Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards - Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise production processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Excellent time management and organizational abilities - Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team - Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
