CNC Turners opportunity with this large established precision engineering company. The role is that of a programmer/setter/operator working on Fanuc controlled twin spindle CNC Lathes with live tooling.

4 day week ! - the role is working full time hours over a 4 day week so every Friday off !

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, Set and operate CNC lathes with twin / sub-spindle capabilities, ensuring high precision and efficiency.
  • Utilise live tooling to optimise the machining process and achieve superior quality outputs.
  • Offline CAD/CAM programming .
  • Work proficiently with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes to meet production targets while maintaining high standards.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to refine design specifications and production methods.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in working with twin spindle (sub-spindle) CNC lathes.
  • Proficiency in live tooling techniques.
  • Strong background in offline CAD/CAM programming, especially with HyperMill or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc control systems and operations.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication skills.

Ideal Candidate: You will possess an apprenticeship in machining and have an understanding of offline Programming. Your strong turning capabilities and keen eye for detail will enable you to work to tight tolerances, ensuring the quality of your own work.While you will work within a collaborative team, the ability to take initiative and work independently is crucial.
