Join a busy sheet metal fabrication team producing high-quality components to drawing specifications. Flexible day/late/night shifts are available, with some flexibility on start/finish times to suit.
Key responsibilities
Set up, program and operate CNC laser punch/combination equipment (e.g., Amada or similar)
Work from engineering drawings, nesting plans and work orders
Load tooling/fixtures/materials and set parameters for material type and thickness
Monitor output, carry out in-process checks, and complete final quality inspections
Complete basic preventative maintenance, housekeeping and routine machine cleaning
Identify faults, report issues promptly and support downtime reduction
Maintain accurate production paperwork, timesheets and material usage records
Work to site Health & Safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement
Skills & experience (essential / desirable)
Experience operating laser punch, combination, turret punch or similar CNC sheet metal machinery
Confident reading engineering drawings and working with CNC programs
Competent with machine set-up, tool changes and basic troubleshooting
Good attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
Team player with clear communication skills
Comfortable with manual handling and standing for periods (within safe working practices)
