CNC Programmer/setter/machinist/plastic fabricator
The role mostly involves programming (on and offline), setting and operating a CNC Router and the use of manual mills and lathes in the small batch production of 2D and 3D plastic parts. Working as part of small team you will take taking new products from customer brief or design through to final production. The successful candidate will be an "engineer", good with a variety of hand tools and capable of quickly learning new equipment and processes.
CNC milling or routing experience.
Some manual machining experience.
CAD/CAM experience - you should be able to program a basic part on and offline working from a sketch or engineering drawing.
Strong communication skills for talking to clients and colleagues about technical and other issues.
