CNC Programmer

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will create, optimize, and validate CNC programs to support production of precision components, using industry-leading CAM/CAD tools.

Key responsibilities

- Produce and optimize CNC programs for milling operations to meet print specifications and production targets

- Use PowerMILL to generate and simulate toolpaths, ensuring efficient, collision-free programs

- Use Autodesk software (e.g., Inventor, Fusion 360 or AutoCAD) to work from CAD models and prepare files for CAM

- Translate engineering drawings and GD&T into accurate machining strategies

- Select tooling, cutting parameters, feeds and speeds; revise programs based on material and process feedback

- Simulate, test and troubleshoot programs on machines; support setup and first-off inspections

- Collaborate with production, quality and engineering to improve processes and reduce cycle times

- Maintain program documentation and revision control

Essential skills and experience

- Minimum 2 years' hands-on CNC programming experience

- Proven experience using PowerMILL for CAM programming and simulation

- Experience with Autodesk products for CAD/CAM workflows

- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling and cutting parameters

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T

- Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desirable

- Experience with multi-axis (3-5 axis) machining

- Familiarity with post-processing and G-code optimization

- Practical machine shop experience (setup/operators) is a plus
