Our client in the Social Care industry is seeking dedicated and caring individuals to join their team as a Childrens Residential Support Worker in Wellington in Somerset. Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Childrens Residential Support Worker you will be assisting young people in all aspects of daily life, including school preparation, meals, and social activities.
  • Document care activities accurately to maintain high standards in care delivery.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams, ensuring a holistic approach to support.
  • Foster life skills and promote emotional and social development for a rewarding group living experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • A caring individual who can create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Willingness to undertake a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children within 2 years of employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • A full manual driving licence is essential.
  • To complete 24 hour shifts either on a 2 on and 2 off rota (other working patterns are available)

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience in the caring profession or knowledge of safeguarding practices.
  • Experience as a Childrens Residential Support Worker although not essential as full training will be giving
  • Understanding the impact of trauma on children and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
