Job Description: As a Cat C (Class 2) Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of animal feeds to and from our customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products reach their destinations on time and in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Cat C (Class 2) vehicle to deliver animal feeds to various locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Load and unload animal feeds, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any delivery-related inquiries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
- Valid Cat C (Class 2) driving license.
- Proven experience as a Cat C (Class 2) Driver, preferably in the animal feeds or related industry.
- Previous HGV experience required; however, training on the equipment will be provided. A Cat CE / Class 1 Licence would be a significant bonus.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading feeds.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- The role is based at our Yeovil site. It is full time Mon to Friday work with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 50+ hours a week, with overtime available.
