A Business Support Officer position has become available with the local council. You will be supporting the Planning and Development department, and will ideally have experience in a similar role.

Main responsibilities:

• To provide business and administrative support across the Planning and Development service, working flexibly and responding to arising pressures.

• Assisting in the efficient processing of planning service related applications from inception to completion.

• To provide a comprehensive service for all planning service enquiries, attaining the best possible standards of customer care.

• To provide administrative support to professional officers across the service, ensuring adoption of efficient and effective procedures and practices.

About you:

• Experience in working in a similar role

• Experience of Local Government/Planning

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products

• Able to work in a methodical and accurate way achieving high levels of consistency

• Quick to learn

• Attention to detail

• Able to work on initiative

• Clear and effective communicator
