Job Title: Production / Assembly Worker

Location: Annan, Dumfries & Galloway
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm

Type: Full-time

We are looking for reliable production workers who are keen for a career long-term.

Attitude and reliability are more important than experience in a similar role.

These are Temp to Perm opportunities for the right candidates.

Full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities

Perform hands-on work on the assembly line - cutting, shaping, assembling wood or composite panels according to company specifications

Use woodworking machinery (saws, sanders, routers, etc.) safely and maintain tools / equipment

Fit hardware (handles, hinges, lining etc.) and carry out finishing work (staining, painting or polishing)

Carry out quality checks at various stages (visual inspection, measurements, defect identification) to ensure final products meet quality standards

Prepare parts and materials for assembly: loading, unloading, organising inventory as needed

Maintain clean, safe and organised workstation; assist in general housekeeping in workshop area

Report maintenance needs, faults or safety issues to supervisor promptly

Follow Health & Safety guidelines, including correct use of PPE, safe handling of materials and adherence to workshop safety procedures

Required Skills & Attributes

Experience in woodworking, joinery for basic carpentry is a strong plus, but not a deal breaker!

Ability to use hand tools and power tools with confidence (training can be provided)

Good attention to detail and manual dexterity

Ability to follow instructions, read work drawings/specifications

Reliable, punctual, able to work as part of a team

Comfortable working in a physically demanding role (lifting, standing, shaping etc.)

Strong commitment to safety and maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Desirable

Experience in finishing operations (painting, staining, polishing)

Previous exposure to assembly line / production environment

Understanding of quality control / measurement tools

Flexibility for overtime or shift changes when required
