We are looking for an Accounts Technician to join a supportive and busy accountancy team. This role is ideal for someone with practice experience who enjoys working with a variety of businesses and has experience preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping, and simple accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare VAT returns and bookkeeping for a range of clients
Prepare straightforward financial statements and accounts
Assist with general accounting and compliance tasks
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Support the wider team with day-to-day accounting duties
Participate in team projects and provide office support as needed

About You
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience; ACA/ACCA Part Qualified candidates will also be considered
Confident preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping, and straightforward accounts
Professional, approachable, and able to build strong relationships
Organised, resilient, and able to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
Comfortable using standard office software and accounting systems
