HR GO are currently recruiting for 111 Call Handlers on behalf of a Public Sector health organisation based in Rotherham. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Please only apply if you can cover all shift patterns, which includes Nights and Weekends this is a 24/7 service.

Pay Rate: Weekdays £11.44, Nights & Saturdays £ 15.44, Bank Holiday £19.33

24h or 30h per-week on a ROTA

As a 111 Call handler , you will be the first point of contact of communication with patients, patient's relatives, health care professionals and other callers.

Expectations of Staff:

  • You will assess patient's condition and ensure they are directed to the most appropriate health care professional.
  • You will provide assessment, basic advice and health information to patients calling 111, supporting them to access the appropriate level of care including advice to manage their symptoms at home
  • You will deliver high quality, safe and clinically effective health care over the telephone using clinical decision system NHS Pathways
  • You will be an effective communicator with good keyboard skills,and able to deal with confidential/sensitive and distressing information.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 GCSE's at Grade C+ or equivalent, including English and Math's.
  • Driving licence
  • Customer Service Experience

Experience Required

    • Previous call centre environment
    • Ability to deal with confidential/sensitive and distressing information
    • Customer service experience
    • Excellent listening skills
    • Remain calm under pressure
    • IT literate

Parking on site is available.

Training is for 10 weeks at either Wakefield or Rotherham - the first 6 weeks would be full time, 100% attendance required. There will another week that would be classroom based to consolidate learning, this will usually be between week 10 and week 14.
