Job Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant

Location - Sevenoaks, Kent

HRGO Education are in search of a 1:1 Learning Support assistant to support a KS2 pupil with SEMH needs.

HRGO Education are recruiting for a progressive school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. They are seeking a Learning Support assistant with an ability to inspire pupils with challenging behaviours. You will be supporting a pupil on a one to one basis with their learning and managing their emotions/behaviour throughout the school day.

The Sevenoaks school was rated "Good" by Ofsted and are well resourced to support the additional needs of their young people. The school provides a free lunch for all staff and parking on site. You can easily commute to the school in Sevenoaks from the local areas of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Edenbridge and Westerham.

The 1:1 Learning Support Assistant role:

• Supporting a pupil with SEMH needs with their academic work and around the school site.
• Being a positive role model and establishing positive relationships with pupils and helping to develop their social skills.
• Working well with other members of school staff to provide a stimulating learning environment.

What you will need:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours.
• A desire to learn new SEMH teaching strategies and skills to best support students.
• Be able to comfortably work 1:1 with pupils.
• Organised, reliable, friendly, hard-working and resilient with a good sense of humour.
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress.
