Location: Kent and Canterbury Hospital - Canterbury
Contract Start Date: ASAP- 4 month contract
Working hours: Friday 12-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am - 7pm, Monday 7am - 2:30pm
Salary: £34,950 pro rata
HR GO Recruitment Canterbury are working closely with 2gther support at Kent and Canterbury hospital in order to support the NHS during the COVID-19 outbreak. We are currently looking for a hands on Weekend Facilities Services Manager to join the team at Kent and Canterbury hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as main point of contact for all staff including but are not limited to, Domestic, Catering, Housekeeping, Portering, Waste, Linen, Reception and Security departments on site
- Liaising with ward managers and clinical staff to ensure services are provided to required standards, identifying gaps and ensuring improvement
- Liaising with visitors, patients and a number of other external contractors & clients
- Ensuring patient services are provided efficiently and in accordance with national guidelines
- Induction and training of new and existing members of staff to ensure smooth running of the site
- Managing absence, performance, initial investigation and first line disciplinary processes, recruitment and selection and personal and professional development off staff and authorising payroll
- Reporting to Head of Facilities to ensure smooth handover at start and end of shift
- Monitoring performance against set KPIs - acting accordingly to ensure KPIs are achieved
What skills and experience you should have?
- Previous experience in management of facilities services is essential [two years minimum]
- Previous experience in management of large teams is essential
- Precious experience in management of absence, performance, recruitment is essential
- Background in care environment is desirable
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- IT literacy is essential
- Great customer service
