Position: Waste Recycling / Warehouse Operative

Location: Deeside

Hours: Day shift 6am-6pm on a rotational shift plan

Salary: £22,425 PA

Due to continued growth and expansion my client is currently seeking Waste Recycling/Warehouse Operative.

Within the role you will ensure the recycling areas, internal and external and all waste streams are serviced and operated as necessary. Additional warehouse functions are included within this role on an individual basis as defined by the warehouse manager.

Specific Tasks/Accountabilities

• Perform bailing function: Fill bailer with correct materials, bale waste

• Ensure shop floor waste streams are services: Chocks returned to process start point i.e. coater

• Empty waste cages into bailer

• Empty bins as required

• Ensure wood waste stream is serviced: Collect waste wood and move to correct recycling location

• Service waste collections: Load collection vehicles for wood/card/plastic

• Supply material to all coating and printing machinery

• Stock picking

• Load and unloading of deliveries

• Use of in house computer systems (Training will be given)

• Maintain a clean and efficient department

• Maintain correct standard and order of waste/recycling area

• Adhere to the company's uniform and hygiene regulations at all times

• Efficient and effective use of time and materials

• Maintain health and safety within department

Skills/Qualifications and Attributes

• Licenced Forklift Truck driver

• Basic level of numeracy & literacy

• Good communication skills

• Able to work under own initiative

• Able to work outside

• PC knowledge ideal

• Previous experience within warehousing, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment

• Basic administration skills - experience of handling and logging paperwork, checking job sheets etc.
