HRGO are currently recruiting for a Waste Operative working for one of the UK's leading provider in environmental solutions. Successful candidates would be joining part of a small team, working at the ever-expanding Luton Airport. Duties: * To work as part of a team and collect waste from the retail areas of Luton Airport departures terminal. * To sort any general waste to ensure as many recyclable items as possible are picked out, recycled and put back into the circular economy. * To undertake all collections in a professional & timely manner. * Scan and weigh all waste collections so that the customers pay for the specific waste they want to dispose of. * Be trained and become competent to operate on site machinery such as compactors, bail-er and bin press. * Ensure the working area is safe, clean and tidy and the bins we use on site and present to the customers are cleaned on a regular basis. * Ensuring Correct Uniform & PPE is worn at all times. * Compliance with set KPI's. * To act as ambassadors on behalf of the Company. * Ensuring that the client is treated courteously and respectfully. Experience & Qualifications: * Must have previous operational work experience * Ability to communicate effectively within a team and with the public * Work on own initiative as well as part of a team. * Reliable, punctual and focused. For this job applicants must be: * Have full 5-year check able history (work, education, benefits, agency, gaps) * Good communication skills * Prepared to cover 24/7 operation - Flexibility with working hours as these can be subject to change * Clean criminal record * Live no more than 30-minute commute Shift/hours: Full time hours, Wednesday - Sunday 1300-2200 with Monday & Tuesday's off
