Job Description
Waste Contract Manager
We are looking for a Waste Contract Manager for a public-sector organisation based in Oxford. This is to provide temporary cover for 9 months.
As a Waste Contract Manager, you will be:
- Managing the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) service and contracts
- Dealing with contract management processes
- Undertaking contract re-procurements including service review, market testing and developing documentation
- Working with closed landfill management and working with the contractor
You will need to have:
- Knowledge and experience of local authority waste management contracts
- Experience in procurement and other duties involved in the process
- A background in a similar type of role within public sector ideally
