Warehouse Senior Operator
Bridgwater
Day Shift (8am - 4.15pm whilst training)
£9.00 per hour, rising to £10.60 once fully trained
Our client is a specialist manufacturer based on the outskirts of Bridgwater, and due to an increase in workload, they are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operator to join their growing team. Reporting to the production manager, the successful applicant will ensure a seamless operational throughput of raw materials and finished goods in full accordance with client and Customer
protocols.
Essentials

To ensure levels of physical stock are reflected correctly within the computer system

To provide an accurate dispatch facility so that customers receive their orders correctly

To communicate with customer service and purchasing on a regular basis to enable full understanding of the required dispatches and expected deliveries.

Ensure that the warehouse is audit ready at all times.

Ensure all people in the department are following the procedures associated with the area

To ensure deliveries are booked into the computer throughout the week and make purchasing aware if there are any discrepancies

Aid the service-hands / Production as required.

Ensure the warehouse and outside yard is organised, to include the segregation of items into the marked areas.

To ensure all weekly checks and other maintenance of equipment used in the warehouse are carried out on time.

Loading and Unloading of lorries, to include completing the booking in and dispatch paperwork.

To organise the yearly stock count and be in attendance during the auditors visit to validate the count
- To communicate with the sales / purchasing administrator if any issues with lorries or paperwork for dispatches.
- To check chemical expiry dates and to make purchasing aware if any are nearing expiry
