HR GO Recruitment are looking for a Transport Supervisor to work in a highly professional environment for one of our Automotive clients in Oxford. Salary: £30,000/annum Working hours: Mon- Fri 15:00 - 00:00 Start date: 2nd September ROLE RESPONSIBILITY: * First point of contact for 10+ drivers * Point of contact for any issues or queries during the shift * Reports to Afternoon Supervisor * To report on time in work wear provided and PPE equipment * To allocate vehicles to the drivers in line with the run schedule * Complete a daily handover * Complete Driver Licence and CPC checks. * Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and cards downloaded on driver de-brief * Follow correct procedures for defect reporting and rectifying equipment faults * Understand Customer requirements * Answer Customer Queries via email and telephone * Tracking Vehicles / Telematics system updates. * Logging fuel, mileage and drivers hours daily * Data Entry and other general office administration tasks * Archiving paperwork * To be courteous to customers/public and maintain a professional manner. * To be seen as a professional member of the company. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: The successful Traffic Operator will have the following experience: * Experienced people manager with the ability to undertake 1-2-1 * Experience of employee engagement and people development * Transport shift ownership with the ability to make informed decisions with no supervision; able to work closely with the clerks, admins and other supervisors * Process driven and problem solving * 2+ years experience of working within a busy transport office, desirable * 2+ years experience working within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry, desirable Apply today if suitable or call us for details 01235 838515
