A client of mine who is in distribution, based near Shepton Mallet are looking for a transport planner. Salary around £ 28k- £31k if Experienced, if not, then approx £23k-£25k

So , what are we are we looking for:

The job role

Traffic office tasks include:

Order entry - PGC Mandata TMS Transport planning system & subcontractors. ( training will be provided)

Load building, planning & routing allocating drivers and vehicles.

Delivery note & manifest preparation for drivers.

Booking in of deliveries via telephone, e-mail & portals.

Assisting drivers & customers with questions & queries both via e-mail & telephone.

Briefing & de-briefing drivers.

The ideal person would be:

Punctual.

Accurate

Confident in a fast moving environment.

Willing & prepared to learn, quick learner.

Able to communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues & customers.

Familiar with technology such as word, excel and able to adapt to changing systems.

Hours

Rota system Monday to Friday between 7 an and 7 pm

1 weekend MAX in a month- Time in Lieu
