HR GO Recruitment are looking for a Transport Operations Leader to work in a highly professional environment for one of our Automotive clients in Oxford. Salary: £32,000/annum Working hours: Mon- Fri 06:30 - 15:30 Start date: ASAP ROLE RESPONSIBILITY: Staff Management - company and Agency * Engage daily with both company full time staff and Agency staff to enable the smooth running of the transport operation within Cowley. * Book and manage all agency staff coverage within the company's budget * Complete inductions and Driving Licence checks for ALL new staff including agency. * Conduct regular one to one meeting with both agency and company full time staff, including performance management. * First point of contact for any supervisory staff queries, providing support, guidance and action plans where needed. * Conduct investigation and disciplinary meetings when necessary * Conduct coaching meetings with drivers to address any concerns such as driving behaviours and tachograph infringements. * Be a key player in dispute resolution within the Cowley team and with 3rd party organisations. Transport Management * Overseeing the day to day vehicle operation including driver no shows, breakdowns, traffic delays, accidents or any other area that may affect the smooth and timely operation of deliveries. * Engage all external and internal customers to provide the best quality of service to our customers. * Planning and reporting resource jobs on Microlise System. * Answering and responding to all incoming calls in a prompt and polite manner * Ensure all driver route paperwork is completed, and inputted promptly and accurately * Monitor and chase documentation in support of the transport operation * Produce Reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis * Creating and coding invoices * Managing all areas of our vehicle fleet, including maintenance, repair, vehicle hire and de-hire. * Managing the company - Cowley Operator's Licence, including vehicle and driver compliance. * Assisting the Transport Manager to create a compliant and effective operational team by being the advocate for change within the business. * Complete all Weekly and Monthly KPI reports * Conduct daily team briefings and touch base meetings to help improve the communication and performance within the business.
