We are looking for a Trainee Laboratory Technician for a client based in the Dover area. The Laboratory Technician conducts testing on medical devices and packaging according to protocols agreed with clients or standard Work Instructions. The post will be supervised by the Laboratory Manager. It requires the ability to carry out repetitive work very accurately. After gaining a good understanding of our laboratory activities, regulatory requirements and clients' expectations, there will also be the opportunity to contribute to test protocols, results analysis and risk analyses. Training and guidance will be provided, but the ability to work independently is a must. A scientific or engineering background is essential. Key Responsibilities * Conduct physical testing on materials, products and packs * Accurately record test data * Maintain meticulous records * Understand and implement company quality systems and procedures * Compile test reports to the highest scientific and grammatical standards * Contribute to the compilation of test protocols * Liaise with clients as and when required * Comply with safe equipment and laboratory use * Follow Standard Operating procedures and suggest ways to improve processes and procedures This is a permanent role, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
