HRGO are looking for a Team Leader to join our client at their registered care scheme in Kettering
To professionally lead the care and support team during any span of duty, ensuring the provision of a safe, effective and efficient care and support service to older people and people with learning difficulties / disabilities is maintained, which respects their rights and choices and meets their individual needs, inline with CQC Regulations and organisational policies and procedures
- Provide leadership and support for care and support staff and act as a champion for the safety and dignity of the people we support
- Provide effective leadership and support for the care and support staff team
- Supervise care and support staff on a day to day basis and through formal supervision processes
- Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that the people we support receive the medical and clinical support they require
- Demand high quality care delivery focused on the people we support's individually assessed needs, priorities and choices
- Actively promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance at all times
- Support new care and support staff in the completion of induction programs, training and competency assessments
- Coach and develop the team to maximise their performance and potential to deliver the best outcomes
- Manage and support the performance of the team, aligned to Group and emh care & support standards and practices
- Ensure staff use are aware of and utilise Policies and Procedures
- Ensure all areas of the service are in compliance with CQC standards and contractual requirements through monitoring and audits
- Deliver and drive areas for improvement and focus on areas for change as set by Registered Manager
Skills required for the position
- Experience or the ability to manage the performance of others
- Experience of working within a care service provision environment regulated by CQC
- Genuine passion and enthusiasm for inclusion of groups and individuals
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Levels of resilience and flexibility
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- IT skills (e.g word processing, email, excel)
- Strong Awareness of Health & safety Issues within care settings
- Good applied Knowledge of Care Quality Commission Regulations and requirements
- Ability to respect an individuals rights and dignity at all time
- Understanding of Personalisation and how to provide personalised service
- Awareness on Individuals emotional needs
- Knowledge of support planning and documentation of records
- Awareness/obtaining information on local and community resources
- Awareness of personal finances and benefit system
- Understanding of staff management e.g. compiling rotas to meet service user's needs
