Job Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Sevenoaks, Kent

HRGO Education Kent are in search of an experienced Teaching Assistant that can inspire pupils with SEMH.

HRGO Kent are recruiting for a private SEMH school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. They are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting primary and secondary aged pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviours. This role is initially a temporary role with the potential to turn into a permanent position.

The school was rated "Good" by Ofsted and are well resourced to support the additional needs of their young people. The school supports both their young people's learning and social development.

The Learning Support role:

• Supporting teachers with their learning objectives and classroom management.
• Working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils in the classroom and pastorally.
• Being a positive role model and establishing positive relationships with pupils and helping to develop their social skills.
• Working well with other members of school staff to provide a stimulating learning environment.

What you will need:

• Previous SEMH classroom or SEMH outreach experience
• A desire to learn new SEMH teaching strategies and skills to best support students.
• Be able to comfortably work 1:1 and with small groups of
• Organised, reliable, friendly, hard-working and resilient with a good sense of humour.
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress (we can organise this for you)
