HRGO Education is recruiting for a progressive SEND school based in Swanley, Kent. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with Autism (ASD) and challenging behaviours. Previous experience as a teaching assistant and knowledge about autism is desirable. The school was rated "Good" by Ofsted and is well resourced to support their young people. It has residential students, lots of outdoor activity space, and a swimming pool. On-site parking is available for staff.

Monday-Friday,8:30-3:30 Long-term position to potentially going permanent.

The Teaching Assistant role:

• Supporting the Class Teacher
• Supporting pupils in small groups with their learning and managing their emotions/behaviour and class work
• Being a positive role model and establishing positive relationships with pupils, helping them to develop both academically and socially
• Working well with teachers and other members of school staff to provide a stimulating learning environment for pupils

What you will need:

• Previous teaching assistant experience in the classroom with SEND pupils is desirable
• Be confident working 1:1 with pupils and manage challenging behaviours
• Patient, reliable, friendly, hard-working, and resilient with a good sense of humour
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress (we can organise this)
