Teaching Assistant PMLD & LD - Carnforth

HR GO Recruitment require a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a SEND school in Carnforth, Lancashire. The school has a fantastic support structure, is an outstanding school and offers excellent resources for all staff that work there.

The suitable candidate will be working full time, Monday to Friday 8.15am-3.45pm with children who have profound and multiple learning difficulties & learning difficulties. The pupils range from age 5 - 18 years and due to their needs you will be expected to support them in all aspects of daily school life including helping with work and friendship groups.

You must have a calm, patient nature, while being resilient and compassionate. You will need to be adaptable and flexible and, be able to develop good relationships with the children and young people that you are working with.

There will be training for fire safety & moving and handling provided by the school but experience supporting children or adults with SEND is essential.
