HRGO Education are looking for Teaching Assistants to start work immediately with children aged 4 - 16. This role will see you working in a specialist provision with the goal of helping these young students with complex social, emotional & behaviour needs receive the best standard of education possible.
This job is incredibly rewarding as you will be personally preparing and supporting the children to be re-introduced back into mainstream schools, making a massive impact to their later life with many more educational opportunities and influencing their confidence in social scenarios.
As a learning support assistant/teaching assistant you'll work on a group or one-to-one basis with students. This job typically involves supporting students who struggle with behaviour management, or complex special needs. Typically, these students in this setting can be physically and verbally abusive.
This is role will either be a 12-week contract then a permanent contract, or for the right candidate, permanent straight away.

It may be an advantage to have professional qualifications or training in areas such as health, psychology, education, guidance, or youth or social work.
You will need to demonstrate a good standard of general education, and you will need Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

Pay & Working Hours
Sessional or relief teaching assistants are typically paid between £9.50 and £11.50 per hour. Income figures are intended as a guide only.
Full-time Teaching Assistants usually work between 32 & 35 hours per week. Starting the school day at 8.30am and finishing at 3.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but it may become permanent later upon school discretion.
