Job Role: Teaching Assistant

Location - Sevenoaks, Kent

HRGO Education are in search of a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with SEMH needs.

HRGO Education are recruiting for a progressive school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. They are seeking a Teaching Assistant with an ability to inspire pupils with challenging behaviours. You will be supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis with their learning and managing their emotions and behaviour throughout the school day.

The Sevenoaks school was rated "Good" by Ofsted and are well resourced to support the additional needs of their young people. The school provides a free lunch for all staff and parking on site. You can easily commute to the school in Sevenoaks from the local areas of Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Edenbridge and Westerham.

This is a permanent role, however temporary positions are also available.

The Teaching Assistant role:

• Supporting a pupil with SEMH needs with their academic work and around the school site.
• Being a positive role model and establishing positive relationships with pupils and helping to develop their social skills.
• Working well with other members of school staff to provide a stimulating learning environment.

What you will need:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours.
• A desire to learn new SEMH teaching strategies and skills to best support students.
• Be able to comfortably work 1:1 with pupils.
• Organised, reliable, friendly, hard-working and resilient with a good sense of humour.
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress.
