HR GO Education are currently seeking a hardworking and committed permanent Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic SEND school based in Canterbury.

We are looking for someone with SEND experience who is comfortable supporting students in a classroom setting, 1:1 and in small groups. The students are of secondary school age with SEMH needs - you will be working to form meaningful relationships with these students, continuously supporting their academic and personal needs. As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely alongside the classroom teacher; helping to support them with classroom and behaviour management.

The ideal teaching assistant will need to be resilient but above all compassionate and be able to show prior evidence of being successful in a similar role.

Requirements for the role:

• Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 3:30.
• An enhanced DBS (which can be applied for through HRGO).
• Experience within the classroom setting.
• Someone who is reliable, hard-working, and resilient with some experience of SEND.
• Willing to work a training day and trial day before starting work.
