HRGO Kent is recruiting for a private SEMH school based in Sevenoaks, Kent. They are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant/Experience youth worker. Successful candidates should have a passion for supporting primary and secondary-aged pupils with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) & challenging behaviours. This role is a long-term supply role with the potential to turn into a permanent position.

Your main duties/responsibilities as a learning support assistant role are the below-

The Learning Support role:

• Supporting teachers with their learning objectives and classroom management.
• Working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils in the classroom.
• Being a positive role model and establishing positive relationships with pupils and helping to develop their social skills.
• Working well with other members of school staff to provide a stimulating learning environment.

What you will need:

• Previous SEMH classroom or SEMH outreach experience or youth work experience with challenging behaviour
• A desire to learn new SEMH teaching strategies and skills to best support students.
• Be able to comfortably work 1:1 and with small groups of
• Organised, reliable, friendly, hard-working, and resilient with a good sense of humour.
• Enhanced DBS or one in progress (we can organise this for you)
