This school-based in Maidstone is for children to reach their highest potential and to have a safe learning community. The school is mixed with children with a wide severe and complex needs some children may need support getting around the school and others with challenging needs, where they resort to pinching kicking scratching etc, and will need help directing and distracting the pupil with the correct methods.

This SEN School Is looking for someone with the following experience-

• Care
• Medical
• Sensory Knowledge
• Teaching Assistant

Some of your main duties in this role are-

• Providing feedback to students without reference to the teacher.
• Taking a small group of students for defined activities.
• Dealing with behavioural and special needs issues.
• Being able to attend SCIP training.
• Working with challenging students away from the classroom as a respite strategy.
• Supervise students at breaks and lunchtimes.
• Ensuring learners are getting treated equally
• Providing support moving pupils around the school and going out to the community
• Provide personal care (assisting children going to the bathroom and helping them out of their chairs/beds)
• Understand safeguarding means
