Our client is seeking a motivated, self-reliant individual to join their Systems Engineering Team. The Team provides overall technical guidance for the development of Print Systems, including such activities as:-
Defining product requirements in consultation with business development and marketing Defining requirements for internal support equipment development Investigation of key system performance aspects Advice and guidance for both internal and external development teams Evaluating options / trade-offs against competing product needs Ensuring appropriate test and verification protocols for validation or product performance against requirements Guiding and integrating various product components delivered by the engineering teams (Software, mechanical, electrical etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities: The purpose of the role is to provide technical guidance for the development of print systems and their components, comprising software, mechanical, electrical and other elements.
This opportunity would suit someone who has had significant experience in R&D environments in a specific engineering discipline who wants to move towards a role which provides oversight, analysis and guidance for overall product development.
In addition, you would:- Be flexible and adaptable Work well within, across and between teams Provide excellent customer service
Experience & Skills
Essential: 3-5+ years' experience working in an R&D environment in a specific engineering discipline (i.e. Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Mechatronics) An understanding of product development lifecycle (i.e. Specification, design, implementation, test etc.) Excellent technical reporting and communication skills Ability to work with and respond quickly to evolving requirements Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or science related discipline
Desirable: Experience with Printer Development Experience solving issues across disciplinary boundaries Experience with product definition (setting requirement, or defining product features)
