HRGO Recruitment are looking to fill a vacancy for a Stock Controller on behalf of their client based in Maldon, Essex. Working in a distribution warehouse this role is to support the smooth operation of the buying function using established systems and resources. Some of the major tasks involved in this role are as follows: Responsible for ensuring returned goods are dealt with correctly on a daily basis. Ensure that correct stock rotation is being adhered to. Manage stock at sufficient levels for the company to operate the day to day business. Responsible for updating new products, managing and updating existing products and discontinued products. Carry out and plan stock takes and stock checks on a continuous basis. Other administration duties as requested. The ideal candidate will possess the following key attributes: Previous experience as a Stock Controller is essential. Self-motivated with the ability to work to tight deadlines and operate within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate on a variety of levels. Possess excellent IT Skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel) Previous experience in working with a Warehouse Management System desirable. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail in assigned tasks. The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative. Hours and shift pattern: 7am to 7pm with two 30 minute breaks each day. The successful candidate will be required to follow a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern, meaning some shifts will fall on weekends. Shift Calendar provided in advance for each year. Temporary to Permanent placement: Starting on a temporary placement the salary is £8.50 per hour rising to £9.13 per hour after 12 weeks. Thereafter the Permanent salary is £19,000 pa. Please note it is essential that applicants either live local to Maldon or have their own transport due to a limited public transport service at weekends.
