HR GO Recruitment are looking for a Chef De Partie to join our client's beautiful restaurant located on the seafront with beautiful views! You will be second in command in the kitchen following the Head Chefs specifications and guidelines
Accountability
- To make sure you and your staff always wear the full and correct uniform and ensuring good personal hygiene
- Ensure you and your teams' knowledge of our Menu and Allergens is up to date.
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and our guests.
- Follow all Processes and Procedures in place within the Company and always ask for help/advice if unsure.
- Make yourself available for training and communications meetings for which advance notice will normally be given.
- Comply fully with all regulations relating to Health and Safety, employee conduct, hygiene, food handling, fire precautions, emergency procedures and COSHH regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the Kitchen, its fixtures, fittings and equipment.
- Ensure all legal and statutory regulations and responsibilities are met in order to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and our guests.
Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen team and control and direct all food preparation within the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Help with controlling stock levels and ordering.
- Put effort into optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
- Complete all necessary daily kitchen paperwork.
- To assist with the training of any new team members in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
- These responsibilities are not an exhaustive list and you may be required to undertake other duties as and when deemed required by the Management.
- Ensure all staff training records, management and staff location files are kept up to date.
