Job Description

Soft Facilities Manager

Our client based in Durrington are looking for a soft services facilities manager.

This is a temporary position with the end date yet to be confirmed (minimum of 12 weeks)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Produce cleaning service delivery procedures

  • Ensure Risk assessments, method statements and work scheduled are in place

  • Ensure required sub-contractors are in place

  • All cleaning signage is in place

  • Ensure cleaning cupboard are set up correctly

  • All cleaning schedules in place as needed

  • Relevant storage/racking in place

  • Set up Cleaning audit system

  • Review and set up Reception Function

  • Review and set up Mail room and porterage services

  • Escalates any major issues appropriately

  • Manage the recruitment, retention, motivation and development of the team

  • Ensure all training requirements of the team are met and recorded

  • Other management and operational duties that may be required from time to time

  • Provide cover and resilience for services on site

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ideally degree qualified in FM or equivalent experience

  • Subject matter expert in Soft Services and able to develop best-practice solutions in this discipline

  • 5+ years operational leadership experience in Soft FM/janitorial environment

  • Project management qualification, e.g. Prince 2 or equivalent

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Good planning and organisation skills and the ability to prioritise own workload efficiently

  • Organisation skills, take a proactive approach to work and demonstrate good time management, working to deadlines and adhering to set procedures

  • Strong delegation and support skills

  • Team player capable for leading and focusing team members to achieve their objectives.

  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, CAFM Systems)

  • Good report writing skills

  • Hold a full UK Driving licence

  • Knowledge of key legislation relating to the delivery of FM services
