Position: Skilled Machine Operative
Location: Warrington
Hours: 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am
Due to growth and expansion my client is looking for a number of skilled machinist to work within their well-established manufacturing site in Warrington, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long term career with ongoing training and development.
To create an environment of high performance, well organised Engineering Machinery to Safely produce, to tight tolerance, cylinders for next stages of production.
Role Objectives:
Safely process, to the highest quality standards, cylinders in the following departments:
Thermal Spray
Cylindrical Grinding
Lathe Operation (Polishing)
Reading, understanding, and interpreting complex Engineering specifications and producing jobs with tight tolerances
Following all site Safety, Process Control and Quality standards
Completion of electronic and written data capture for all jobs in line with standards
Autonomous maintenance of plant and equipment
Critical skills and experience:
Mechanical Engineering background or demonstrable understanding
Anilox manufacture preferred
Competent use of DTI, micrometer and TIR understanding
Demonstrable experience of using non-CNC Cylindrical Grinder, Lathes, Thermal Spray Systems, Lasers or other Anilox associated equipment
Experience of thermal spray techniques, ceramic grinding / polishing (not essential but preferred), laser engraving systems or hand polishing ceramic
Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
Willingness to develop and embrace IT and new technologies in this area.
Willingness to embrace change and continuous improvement methods
FLT license (not essential but preferred)
