I am currently looking for a Site Joiner to join my clients carpentry team.
If you have experience working as a site joiner/ 2nd fix carpenter we would like to hear from you.
My client works throughout the South West of England and Wales conserving and repairing historic buildings.
Projects are varied and will involve workshop and site based work.
The work will be fixing new and repaired joinery. Including windows, stairs, doors, etc. Experience is heritage work is preferred but not essential. But eye for detail is.
Their current sites include Chard, Beaminster and Wincanton. So somebody South of Shepton would be ideal.
This to a permanent position
Pay per hour around £17/hour. Could stretch higher for the right candidate.
With 42.5 hours contracted, you will get £37,500 no problems.
They pay travel at £10/hour for hours above their Shepton Commute time. So if your not from the local area, they could look to give you travel time above 90 minutes.
For a Shepton guy this is zero. So if Shepton operative travel 2 hours a day. Extra £20/day. And £4,600 a year.
This is calulcated on 230 days. As position includes for 30 days holiday. Which NO travel time is paid. BUT the holiday hours are based on time worked.
It is often operatives can work 9 or 10 hours on site, 45-50 hour week and this would be what your holiday is based on.
Van and electric tools are in the package. As well as a commitment to training.
They need somebody with a high degree of skill. Wants to work PAYE. And willing to travel and potentially lodge away.
