My client is looking to add a Hygiene Manager to their production team. A well known an established business in the heart of Doncaster. The role is available after they have progressed exceptionally well through the last 12 months.

You duties will include ensuring the Production Department are complying with hygiene regulations and health and safety legislation, using Best Practice, BRC and our own customer standards.

This is a hands on role within the factory and you will be expected to lead by example. Basic admin and Microsoft skills are required. You must have experience in operating within HACCP and BRC guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

• To ensure that compliance and legal requirements are adhered to
• Responsible for the training of the hygiene staff
• Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement
• Conduct regular audits
• Dealing with chemical and product suppliers
• A keen interest in the ordering of new equipment, to establish how the hygiene team would be able to operate
• To co-ordinate machinery strip down and deep cleaning

Skills and Experience

• An experienced Hygiene Supervisor with a proven successful track record
• Experience conducting internal and third party audits
• Leading a team and setting and reporting KPI'S
• Food manufacturing experience is essential
• Experience in a fast paced food manufacturing / production environment
