Our client, based in Sandwich, is looking for a Service Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity and you will be reporting to Head of Services and working as part of the management team. This role is pivotal to ensure the company deliver the best outcomes and meet contractual responsibilities, providing value for funders with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

You will have outstanding management skills and be a role model, with a passion for motivating and developing your team. You will be responsible for the overall management of CSEK's Single Point of Access and Carers services, delivered through partnerships with primary and secondary healthcare, including the Carers Hospital Service. The postholder will provide line management to Team Leaders in both the Single Point of Access team and Carers Health Team. Both areas are entry points to the services and support that CSEK provide to Carers.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the CEO and Head of Services to implement service delivery strategies and plans

  • Problem solving service delivery issues, liaising with other members of the management team or external parties where appropriate

  • Evaluate performance against contract requirements and service provision regularly and take proactive action where needed to ensure successful delivery of contracted outcomes and continuous improvement

  • Ensure data collection tools, methods and systems are accurately and effectively utilised. Provide information and contribute to/produce reports for senior management and stakeholders for decision making and continuous improvement/development

  • Provide regular and timely two-way communication of plans, policies and performance to staff and management and with peers.

  • Ensure adherence to KCC Carers Assessment policy (and associated policies and procedures) and take action to ensure personalised solutions are offered to Carers.

  • Ensure Carer Payments adhere to policy, are reviewed and authorised and that accurate records are maintained

  • Ensure ongoing growth through the planning, management and delivery of activities that will increase the volume of Carers accessing CSEK services year on year

  • Ensure risk assessments are in place and monitored for service delivery areas, events and activities, delegating as appropriate.

  • Actively participate in multi-agency and network meetings/events to advance the work of CSEK

Essential

  • Come from a health background with experience working in the Health/Social Care or Voluntary Sector

  • Strong people management skills having previously managed managers

  • A good understanding of contractual targets and performance measures.

  • Confidence in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.

  • Experience of working to and implementing policies and procedures.

  • Experience in financial measures and controls are in place to ensure teams are operating within agreed budgets.

You would need an enhanced DBS for this position.

Days are Monday - Friday.
