Senior Systems Engineer - Melbourne

Salary $120-130k p.a.

As Senior Systems Engineer you are the technical expert on the team, responsible for leading project outcomes and making project-related decisions on system design and inputs for the client.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading and developing systems architecture for projects

• Maintaining product direction, ensuring product continues to be commercially viable

• Developing customer and systems-related modifications

• Developing and overseeing reliability and verification plans and activities

• Signing off on testing requirements

• Ensuring compliance with quality processes and Quality Management systems

• Supporting the bid teams and bid process

• Undertaking comprehensive hazard and risk analysis, ensuring product is delivered to specifications

• Leading, motivating, training the team and mentoring junior members

• Driving effective communication between all members of project team

• Maintaining client contact and managing relationships

• Setting system standards and processes and leading continuous improvement opportunities

To be successful you will need:

• A minimum of 8 - 12 years technical experience in various industries

• Experience of product development across multiple engineering disciplines such as electronics, mechanical and software, but especially medical devices

• Knowledge of tools such as CodeBeamer

• Working knowledge of ISO13485, ISO9001, IEC62366 and ISO14971

• Degree in Engineering or Science
