HRGO Recruitment are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the QS Team in order to accurately value the works undertaken by the operational teams and where necessary, gather and provide records to substantiate cost and lead projects under the guidance of the principle QS. Key Responsibilities:- * Varied workload including new-builds, extensions and refurbishments * To assist in the daily commercial and contractual aspects of the contracts managed by the operational team * Finance monitoring and reporting of projects assigned * Defining and establishing suitable construction contracts with clients to suit procurement needs * Preparation of financial statements in respect of projects assigned * Ensuring proper administration of the Contract Requirements * Assist with completion of Account * Gather and collate records of all work done * Undertake payment authorisation of subcontractors * Ensure prompt submission of invoices and applications of payment * To assist in the Business Development process in producing information of PQQs and Tenders in relation to the project deliverable to the client and the project deliverable requirement to the business * Develop the team through training and mentoring * Br responsible for junior quantity surveying staff in respect of timekeeping, technical training requirements, development, resourcing, performance reviews * Contribute to the formulation of the monthly financial reports, both internal management account and external applications for payment The successful candidate should be educated to at least HNC Level or equivalent in Quantity Surveying and possess a clean driving licence. The duration of the contract is initially for 3 months but could potentially be extended. The role will be based at Tomatin substation (Inverness area), however you will be expected to visit Glasgow (Eurocentral) and site visits as required.
