Fixed term 12 month contract: maternity cover opportunity

Our client is currently looking for a senior HR professional with MCIPD and FCIPD qualification to join the People Business Partner team for a fixed term 12 month contract. The role will be working for one of the largest local authorities working with Directors across the business providing the HR support, advice and guidance.
REQUIREMENTS
Extensive experience as a senior HR professional
Degree level or equivalent by experience
Professional qualification required: MCIPD/FCIPD
Understanding of broad legal context and employee relations
Experience in employment, recruitment, and onboarding
Case law knowledge
Able to guide and coach management and departments
Manage complex employee relations issues
JOB DESCRIPTION
Operational planning and performance reviews
Working collaboratively within and across functions to support the delivery of best possible outcomes for our customers on a financially sustainable basis.
Maintain and nurture collaborative relationships with other teams
Implementing changes to improve the area of work
Managing complex issues to meet the needs of customers and deliver the best possible outcomes
Coaching leaders to understand, assess and improve team capability
Monitor and evaluate functional workforce performance
Giving advice within the organisation's policy framework; taking a lead role in the development, monitoring and assessment of annual performance objectives for Executive Directors and their leadership teams.
Build, manage, and maintain trusted relationships with senior leaders
Lead on strategic level and complex projects and activities across People and Transformation (P&T), taking a portfolio lead for an area of specialism
