Second Line Engineer

Want to extend IT career in a 2nd Line Support????? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast expanding global aviation client based at Farnborough Airport. You will work as part of a team and have the opportunity to grow within the company. 40 hours per week. Permanent job. REPORT TO: Service Desk Manager. ROLE: Support and maintain clients IT infrastructure. Install and configure new solutions. Carry out regular service reviews. Keep up to date with new technologies and share with team. Provide out of hours support on a rota basis. Provide mentoring to 1st Line Engineers and train and assist during busy periods. REQUIREMENTS: Min of 3 years experience in a similar 2nd line technical role. Experience in: MS Windows server 2012 and 2016 and DHCP/DNS services. Active directory and Group policy. Diagnose, repair and solve hardware/software server and network related issues. MS SQL, IIS Sharepoint, Microsoft Exchange, RDS and Terminal Server. Virtualisation solutions eg VMWare and Hyper-V. VLANs and VPNs experience. Understanding of backups and restoration. Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
