Teachright East Anglia are recruiting for a qualified Science teacher to work in a SEN school.

The School is situated on the beautiful Suffolk town of Haverhill, with easy access from Essex, Suffolk & Cambridge. The caters for pupils aged between 8 and 18 who are of average or above average cognitive ability, usually with a diagnosis of language and communication difficulties and high functioning autism. Pupils at the school are at the centre of everything they do. Our client has high expectations for both behaviour and achievement and see that every learner has a unique personality and talents to be developed.

The school was inspected in June 2019 when the overall effectiveness was judged to be outstanding. The inspection report states "The school is a very calm, caring place, where pupils feel comfortable and able to deal with any difficulties and previous negative experiences of education.

Ideally you will have:

• A degree / PGCE / NQT status
• UK QTS or working towards UK QTS - NARIC & Overseas QTS will be considered with at least 1 year of UK Teaching experience
• Are confident leading a Key Stage 3 & 4 class including GCSE level
• Have good behaviour management skills
• Have a genuine passion for teaching children

For this position, you will need experience working with KS3 & 4 pupils, an accurate understanding of the current curriculum, excellent subject knowledge in your subject field and up to date knowledge of the safeguarding guidelines.

This role is open to experienced teachers and those just about to qualify and will be paid on the MPR/UPR and to scale. TLRs maybe on offer to more experience's candidates.
