About our Client

We are currently working with one of the largest providers of education management software in the UK. Their aim is to empower educators, parents and learners to deliver the best school and learning outcomes possible. They do this with a range of web and mobile (iOS, Android) products and management information systems. The client currently works with over 22,000 schools in the UK and are looking to expand and develop their business.

Overview:

We are therefore looking for an experienced Sales Manager to focus on the management of a telephone sales team to deliver and exceed sales targets by both upselling into existing customers but also acquiring substantial numbers of new SAT (single and dual academy trust) customers.    The Sales Manager will manage the SAT sales team to build a well-qualified pipeline of opportunities, drive, and close sales to meet and exceed the sales targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the SAT account management and sales and generally contributing to the overall strategy of the sales environment. Driving improvements in activity and efficiency within the external sales team and working closely with the Sales Director to deliver the business objectives is key to the success of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of the SAT Sales team, cultivating, developing, and maintaining a high-performing team.
  • Ensure team understand the SAT GTM strategy and how they can influence it.
  • Organise weekly team meetings/calls to discuss activity, performance, celebrate successes and continuously communicate purpose, goals and progress, delivery strategy.
  • Developing sales & account strategy plans with the individual SAT salesperson.
  • Managing and motivating the SAT sales team to achieve the key performance indicators set out by the business.
  • Attending key customer meetings with members of the SAT sales team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience of Sales Management, and prior personal SAT or MAT sales experience with demonstrable success in high revenue existing and new business sales would be an advantage.
  • Proven success in delivering sales order targets and pipeline generation targets for a large field sale team.
  • Demonstrable track record in sales management, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with experience in inspiring passion, mentoring, and developing highly effective sales talent in a fast paced, sales focused environment.
  • Highly effective communication skills, and proven collaboration skills with all levels
  • Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks.
