Sales Engineer / Account Manager

HRGO Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Sales Engineer / Account Manager for their client who are based in Sunderland. This role will cover from the midlands up to the borders so ideal candidate must be willing to travel (car allowance will also be added onto salary) You will be able to work from home but you will be expected to be at Sunderland site at least 2 days per week Role definition As a member of the external sales team, its role being to retain, grow and improve profitability of existing customer accounts and introduce new profitable business streams Duties include: 1 Maintain regular contact with existing customers through planned visit programmes. 2 Provide accurate feedback to the business through customer visit reports to include all aspects of customer service. 3 Maintain and ensure retention of current business levels and part numbers and ensure the company is given the opportunity to tender for new and replacement business opportunities. 4 Meet annual sales targets for existing customers. 5 Identify new business opportunities that meet the strategic requirements of the business. 6 Ensure accurate information is provided for new business opportunities to include EDI, technical specifications, logistics etc. 7 Management of customer profitability, including the review of current business and ensure the companies minimum requirements for contribution are exceeded or maintained. 8 Monitor customer satisfaction on a regular basis with surveys to be conducted and the information fed back to the Sales Director. 9 Ensure the company is represented in a professional and positive manner at all times whilst maintaining confidentiality of company and customer sensitive information and IPR. 10 Maintain a high standard of dress during customer visits and ensure vehicles used for the purpose of customer visits are adequately maintained and kept in a clean condition. 11 Obtain feedback from quotations not taken up by customers and any lost business is accurately communicated back to the Engineering Quality Team. General Responsibilities 1 Participate in team meetings as required. 2 Conform to Company health & safety, environmental and personnel procedures. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs / subject to periodic review) 1 Retention of current business revenues and volumes. 2 New business levels in line with agreed targets.
