Summary of the Role

• To administer the Council Tax and to support the move towards generic working by assisting, when required, with the administration of Benefits, NNDR, and recovery procedures.
• Maintain Direct Debit records and liaise with banks and taxpayers, via Auddis & Addacs where necessary
• Deal with enquiries including Council Tax band enquiries, either by letter, email, via the website, interview or telephone. Maintain a record of advice given and/or action taken.
• Provide necessary information to and liaise with Visiting Officers regarding uninhabitable, empty & new dwellings
• Contribute to corporate initiatives and the upholding of the council's core values.

Required Experience:

• To have dealt with public enquiries
• Ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines
• Positive attitude to change management
• Proficient in MS applications

You must undergo a DBS check for this role.
